“I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Chateraise Ski Valley Koumi. The view of Mt. Asama was spectacular and the Chateraise cake was a delightful treat.”

“Chateraise Ski Valley Koumi offers a pleasurable skiing experience with its high-quality snow, which is arguably superior to that at Yachiho. The site is not overly crowded thanks to a well-designed layout that includes a high-speed lift and a long course. One of the notable perks of the place is the affordable Chateraise desserts, which make for a delightful treat during breaks. After skiing, I enjoyed a warm bath at the nearby Riex, where a lift ticket grants access for a nominal fee, including a bath towel and a towel. The experience is made even better by the complimentary ice cream provided after the bath. On 5th February 2023, I noticed that they began selling lift tickets early in the morning, allowing for an extended skiing day. Despite my initial thoughts, I was directed to the 4th lift, which gives access to the C and EH ski areas. It was a busy day, with the high-speed lift bustling from 10:00 onwards. While the 3rd lift was functioning and the slope was gentle, it was unusually crowded. This could be because of its infrequent operation. The 5th lift was briefly closed for private use around 11:00, but it was later opened for the public. The quality of the slopes varied, with course F resembling a small potato field, and course B being a bit grainy but arguably better than usual. The Eiger was crunchy and only half usable due to poles. Interestingly, by noon, all areas were deserted, except for the 3rd place, which remained busy.”
