“My experience at Kaida Kogen Mia was rather disappointing. I visited on a Sunday and was unfortunate to be caught in heavy rain, which left me thoroughly soaked. Regrettably, the strong winds resulted in the closure of the lift. Even more disheartening was the fact that the facility completely shut down by noon. Additionally, there were no refunds given for the lift day ticket despite the closure.”

“Kaida Kogen Mia is an immersive ski resort that lets you experience the beauty of nature. The on-site Restaurant Symphony is a culinary delight, offering a delicious new menu every year, with options ranging from full meals to light snacks and bread available at the mid-level Tiehorn. The ski resort boasts slopes that extend up to 3,200 meters, including a challenging top-level course known as 1-chome, and an even steeper slope called 2-chome for those seeking an adrenaline rush. The upper right side of the resort features the Blue Diamond or 'Burudai', a curving slope that perfectly matches the terrain, making it an ideal spot for demonstrating your skiing prowess. Occasionally, you might encounter uncompacted snow, adding to the thrilling experience. The lower part of the resort is home to the Prima, Foxy, and Jumbo Foot slopes, all of which offer moderate to gentle gradients, making it perfect for families or those looking to hone their skiing skills. Given the resort's high altitude, the snow quality is excellent. However, since the temperatures are quite low, it is advisable to take necessary precautions to stay warm.”

“At Kaida Kogen Mia, I had an immersive experience of being completely in sync with the natural surroundings while enjoying the ski resort.”

“Navigating my way from the highway to Kaida Kogen Mia proved to be quite challenging, especially during snowfall. The skiing courses on offer are limited, with just two lifts servicing a smaller area. The upper course is particularly tough for novice skiers. However, the resort provides both advanced and beginner courses, suggesting the lower courses for beginners to learn and practice. The rest house is a recent addition and offers a comfortable environment. It features two distinct cafes, one catering to those seeking a hearty meal and the other designed for visitors looking to unwind. The latter serves an excellent, authentic coffee that I particularly enjoyed. Despite my visit coinciding with spring skiing season, heavy snowfall and poor visibility hampered my experience. Nonetheless, I'm eager to return during the high season, hoping for better weather and the chance to admire the beautiful Mount Ontake.”
