Strandafjellet Skisenter

“My experience at Strandafjellet Skisenter was less than satisfactory. I had made reservations for a skipass and equipment well in advance but ended up waiting for 45 minutes to receive my snowboard and boots. Despite my reservation, they ran out of size 45 boots just as it was my turn and I noticed that they gave the same size to another person ahead of me who did not have a reservation. I was given a 'premium' board as they also ran out of my size. Unfortunately, the bindings were loose due to half-screwed screws, which was unsafe and required me to find a screwdriver to tighten them. I was also disappointed that despite providing all my information at the time of booking, they asked for the same details again, such as boot size and height, as nothing was prepared in advance. The ski slopes were decent but were outmatched by a smaller ski resort in Harstad with 7km, which provided more enjoyment. The service was rated as a 1 out of 5.”

“During my visit to Strandafjellet Skisenter, I found that only 6 out of 17 slopes and 3 out of 7 elevators were operational on a Tuesday. Two of these elevators led to the same location, and one was specifically for beginners. It's worth noting that after 4 PM, only the beginner's slope and the ski handler were available. While I understand the need for operational adjustments, I felt that the services offered did not match what was expected considering the full access pass.”

“I took a trip on the cable car to the summit of Strandafjellet Skisenter, unfortunately on a cloudy and wet afternoon. The visibility was rather poor from the beginning and deteriorated to the point where there was nothing to see within an hour, making the experience less enjoyable than anticipated. The views, though briefly visible, didn't make for interesting photographs due to the prevailing grey weather conditions. During the excursion, I had waffles and coffee at the cafe. They were decent enough, although could have been served hotter. Reflecting on the whole experience, I'm uncertain if I would choose to do it again, considering the limited visibility and the short duration of the cable car ride. I ended up descending early as the view was not worth it. The trip was a vacation and I was accompanied by my partner. I would rate the service and the location a 4 out of 5.”

“The panoramic view at Strandafjellet Skisenter is truly breathtaking. During my visit, weather conditions weren't favorable for venturing off the groomed paths, but I envision the off-piste skiing to be remarkable. I'm definitely looking forward to another visit for a more adventurous skiing experience.”
