“Sunlight Mountain is a fantastic local ski resort. My son and I had the opportunity to take ski lessons, which were both enjoyable and tiring. Despite being part of a large group, the four instructors maintained a fun and engaging atmosphere. The staff, from the lesson booking to the rental store and even the lifts, were all friendly and helpful. The resort is a bit secluded, and parking can fill up quickly. However, there are ample slopes, ensuring that the runs never felt overcrowded. The lines, if any, moved rapidly. The resort exudes a family-friendly vibe which is enhanced by the wonderful staff and overall environment. If you're a fan of skiing or snowboarding and don't require the extra frills of shops at the base, then I highly recommend a visit to this resort.”

“My experience at Sunlight Mountain was fairly decent. It's a suitable ski area, although it does take quite a while to reach the summit. The journey involves taking a double up the bunny hill, skiing down a bit, and then catching another double that transports you to the peak. This whole process takes a little over half an hour. They recently added what appears to be a used triple from A Basin's old Lenawee lift. However, I'm not certain if this has made the journey to the top any faster. I would suggest Sunlight Mountain particularly to beginners or those looking for a more budget-friendly ski experience. While there's definitely fun to be had here, I can't help but feel that there are better options around. The overall vibe is somewhat reminiscent of Granby Ranch, if you're looking for a point of reference.”
