CHALET HOST COUPLE FOR A LUXURY SKI LODGE IN SERRE CHEVALIER, FRANCE A little bit about us: WM stands for Wandermonster, which is the name of our travel company based in Mexico City. Henry the English man and his wife Montse from Mexico have been taking people around the globe for the last four years. Their love for ski and snow brought them to Serre Chevalier, which is France’s best-kept secret. The ski resort is comparable in size to the Tignes/ Val d ’Isere without the queues. It is often voted one of the top resorts in Europe for intermediate to good skiers. Not to mention the views, the food and of course the party. Working for WM Chalets is more than a job: it’s an adventure and a lifestyle! Spend the winter season in one of the most beautiful ski resorts in Europe, surrounded by fresh air and having fun. We are not gonna lie: it is hard work, but there is also plenty of time to play in the snow and if you love hospitality the job itself isn’t hard at all. The jobs are shared between HOST and CHEF (or someone with cooking skills) because in WM Chalets we all chip in when it comes to excelling our clients’ expectations. Both managers will be there with you to make sure the week goes smoothly, everyone (including the staff) has fun and enjoys being part of this experience. We believe that happy hosts, make happy clients! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Maintain a welcoming, comfortable chalet environment, always exceeding our guest’s expectations. Prepare and serve delicious daily cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and 3-course evening meal (with canapes and cheese board). Ensure that the chalet is consistently clean and well maintained. Deep clean of the chalet during transfer day- Saturdays. Make sure a chalet is a safe place for the customers and that all the appliances and add-ons are ready for their use “apres-ski”. Learning clients’ names, their dietary requirements and coordinating with line management their activities, ski hire, lessons and extra requirements. Providing any information, help and assistance to our guests wherever necessary. Carry out all other duties that will assist with the smooth running of the chalet operation. Having fun EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Have an EU passport or the right to work in France Previous catering, customer service and hospitality experience (preferably in a chalet, hotel or yacht environment). Good communication skills in the English language. One of them must have cooking expertise- Chef level preferred. One from the couple should have a valid driver’s license. Skiing or Snowboarding experience desirable. OUR PACKAGE INCLUDES: EUR 900 per person / month. One day off per week (Wednesday). Season lift pass. Accommodation (one room per couple). Food. Flights within Europe (to be discussed). Complete entire season BONUS (to be discussed).
