Tauplitz is a mid-sized family-friendly ski resort that offers a suitable challenge for skiers of all expertise levels. It is well-equipped with high-quality lifts, public toilets, and an array of lunch options. One unique service that stands out is the ski depot service. A tranquil 25-minute chairlift ride takes you to the mountains' top, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. Hiking options are also available at the summit, providing a variety of activities for visitors. However, it's important to note that the lift closes for lunch between noon and one o'clock during the summer season. The resort is nestled within a typical Austrian village, where you can rest, ski, and marvel at the vast beauty of nature. Unique lodging facilities are scattered throughout the mountains, allowing guests to reach their hotels via snowmobile and wake up surrounded by the striking mountain landscape. The resort boasts 36 well-maintained skiing routes and offers a harmonious blend of natural preservation and artificial snow. However, some visitors have reported an average experience due to the quality of slopes and limited availability. The snow guns' continuous operation was a concern as it resulted in an uncomfortable experience for some, especially children. Despite these issues, the resort's charm remains intact, with its south-facing slopes offering a delightful skiing experience on sunny days. Tauplitz offers skiing opportunities for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced skiers. However, beginners may find navigating between the blue tracks a bit challenging, given that they sometimes have to use the reds. The resort is also not very well-suited for snowboarding beginners due to the flat slopes and somewhat complicated lifts. Despite some minor drawbacks, Tauplitz is a highly recommended destination for a holiday vacation. It offers picturesque views, a variety of eateries, and convenient lift facilities. Its breathtaking landscapes make it a must-visit location, not only in winter but also during summer. The resort promises to offer a memorable skiing experience amidst stunning scenery. However, the quality of service may vary, and visitors are encouraged to be patient and understanding.
