Les 3 Vallées

“My experience at 'Les 3 Vallées' can be best described as a mixed bag. The vast expanse of the ski area is impressive, with a considerable number of lifts. The trails are well marked, although a good number of them were not operational during my visit in Christmas 2022. I found the signage to be rather vague and inadequate, falling short of the standards set by Paradiski or Austrian ski resorts. In response to the owner's query, I would like to clarify that the signs leading to the different zones were either too small or completely absent. I often found myself relying on a physical map as the signs predominantly displayed lift names instead of area names. While there were a few "X area via Y lift" signs, their scarcity was palpable. When I commented about the lifts, I was referring to the absence of advanced features, not their age. The lifts here lack the innovative technology commonly seen in Austrian resorts, such as hooded lifts, back supporting chairs, heated seats, conveyor belts, etc. A few lifts do exhibit these features, but they are more the exception than the rule. It would be beneficial if Courchevel had more hooded lifts like Menuires. Additionally, Val Thorens and Menuires could incorporate maps into the safety bar, similar to some lifts in Courchevel. Despite these shortcomings, my stay was overall quite enjoyable. However, I am not sure if I'll be revisiting in the future.”

“I had a splendid, sun-soaked stay at Les 3 Vallées, despite the lack of abundant snowfall. The commendable efforts of the professionals maintaining the slopes were evident, as they strived to keep the area accessible amidst the less-than-ideal snow conditions and higher temperatures. The highlight of my week was the gorgeous New Year's fireworks display that truly added to the charm of the place. I am truly appreciative of the high-quality experience offered by the 3 Vallées area and eagerly look forward to visiting again in the next season.”

“Les 3 Vallées is a true winter wonderland! The beautifully maintained slopes are located at a high altitude, ensuring regular snowfall across the three valleys. The ski area is vast, with 600 kilometers of trails catering to all skill levels, making it an ideal destination for families. What I found particularly striking was the diversity of the landscape - it's not just high alpine, there are gorgeous forest runs as well. The scale of the area means that it offers everything you could possibly want, yet it's designed in such a way that traversing from one valley to another is a breeze. Overall, my experience was nothing short of wonderful and I am certain I will be returning for more skiing adventures!”
