“I've had an outstanding experience at Lookout Pass ski resort, particularly enjoying the newly added runs. However, if Schweitzer is within closer proximity, it might be a better option due to its high-speed lifts. Yet, it's worth noting that Schweitzer can be more expensive. Ultimately, the decision depends on your preferences.”

“My experience at Lookout Pass was very enjoyable. It stands out for its excellent skiing, particularly for its tree skiing. They have recently added another lift, opening up numerous new runs. The snow conditions were favorable during my visit, and I was notably impressed with the grooming. It's evident that they greatly value their ability to maintain these standards. Lookout Pass also features a laid-back, 90's style ski lounge that adds a nostalgic touch. However, I would have appreciated knowing in advance that this resort requires leashes for snowboards. The staff at the first lift could have been more amiable when conveying this rule. I suggest a large sign at the beginning of chair one as a solution to this minor issue. Despite this, they do offer these leashes for purchase, so it's good to be prepared. One impressive feature that Lookout Pass offers is free overnight parking. This convenient addition significantly enhances the overall experience at the resort.”

“I had an unfortunate experience with the bike rental service at Lookout Pass. Though the Hiawatha trail is an absolute delight, the company responsible for the equipment rental seems to be monopolizing the service at the trailhead. The quality of the bikes is subpar, and the one I had was barely functional during uphill rides, with the chain breaking midway. The issue extended to the pre-paid shuttle service as well, with a seemingly endless queue and long waiting times. After I finally gave up on the shuttle and managed to ride uphill, I found that I arrived at the parking area before my friend who had stayed in line for the shuttle, despite my lack of regular biking. Upon returning my bike, I noticed that it was placed back in the rental pool without any maintenance or addressing the issues I had informed them about. Additionally, the company's claims of charging for bike transportation are misleading. The bikes are not transported but simply chained on the hill, and the company seems to be capitalizing on this false claim. In light of my experience, I would advise future visitors of Hiawatha trail to consider alternate bike rental options and not to rely on the company's shuttle services.”

“The area of Lookout Pass is truly stunning! It's a joy to witness its beauty in both winter and summer seasons. During winter, I enjoy skiing and when summer comes, renting bikes to ride the Railroad trails is my favorite activity.”
