“I was pleasantly surprised by the Shirakaba 2in1. The ski slope is wide, providing ample space to enjoy. The barns are short and wide, with a steep incline at the top that mellows out towards the bottom. I took advantage of the shared lift ticket with Shirakaba Kogen Kokusai, spending the morning at the international section and the afternoon here. The distance between the two wasn't substantial, but the need to change into comfortable shoes was a minor inconvenience. That said, it was a fun experience overall. The 4-hour ticket was ample time to enjoy both areas. Additionally, Restaurant Lumiere has a delightful surprise - massage chairs that are free to use. It was a very nice touch.”

“I recently visited 'Shirakaba 2in1' and had a mixed experience. On one hand, the new air trampoline in the kids area is a wonderful addition that my small children really enjoyed. However, the space was often occupied by people not using the kids area, making it difficult for families to enjoy. This was particularly frustrating, as on one occasion an entire group was taking up space with their own belongings. Despite some negative reviews, I found the parking situation quite convenient, especially with small children in tow. The ability to park right in front of the establishment was a relief. The kids area, while not expansive, was more than sufficient for my three-year-old to have fun in. I appreciated the rest area that is directly opposite, and although it is somewhat dated, it houses a shoe-free toy corner and an air trampoline. Please note, food is not allowed but drinks seem to be permissible. One area for improvement is the restroom. It's outdated, cramped, and cold, making it challenging to take my children there. By contrast, the restroom at the nearby Lumiere has all the essentials such as hand soap and paper towels. Something to consider is that there is an extra charge for the kids area, even if you have a lift ticket. Parents also have to pay an admission fee, which I wasn't thrilled about. The ski slope itself is not particularly wide or long, but it's enough for young children learning to ski. If you're an adult looking for a more challenging slope, you might want to consider other options. Notably, the Lumiere side and Core House side are connected, so you have the option to skate on both sides. I noted a significant number of families on the Lumiere side and younger boarders on the Core House side. It's worth mentioning that some amenities like Penguin Land and Kids' Room on the Core House side seem to have been removed. Lastly, while Lumiere accepts PayPay, the crepe shop on the Core House side didn't accept cards or cash, which was a bit inconvenient. Mobile payment options would certainly enhance the experience.”
