Ensures compliance with all government agency, and contract regulations/requirements as it pertains to the passenger carrier operating permits. Researches and recommends new equipment and technology to increase efficiency, improve convenience and lower emissions. Participates in the booking of reservations for transportation service in and around the resort. Consult in the design of facilities, bus stops, roadways, parking and other system. Job Specifications: Starting Wage: $31.00/hr - $34.00/hr Employment Type: Year Round Shift Type: Full Time hours available Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age Housing Availability: No Job Responsibilities: Responsible for hiring, training, performance management and development of Transportation staff while supporting department operations, company policies and procedures. Execute the Transportation budget in conjunction with Department Manager. Maintain compliance with all U.S. Department of Transpiration, State of California Public Utility Commission, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and Nevada Transportation Authority. Develop and manage safety and training program. Develop and manage an excellent guest service program that supports and leads all Vail Resorts guest service initiatives. Manage driver DQF’s, Drug and Alcohol screening program, all fillings, reporting, renewals, and operating in compliance with all CPUC, NTA, FMCSA, and IRP regulatory standards. Actively participate in Ski Resort Transpiration best practices. Give input to multi-year vehicle roll out plan based on flexing business needs and compliance with all CARB regulations. Actively grow and develop department bench strength, through delegating workload at appropriate levels for individual growth, and utilize annual review performance and management system to document successes and areas for improvement. Oversee the completion of department accident reporting, investigation, and related performance improvement planning. Oversee the maintenance of facility and equipment to ensure safe and efficient work environment. Input and oversees all time and labor entries for department. Resolve all guest related issues that may arise with the highest regard to guest service. Directly supervises up to four direct reports, and indirectly supervises up to 55 staff. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: 4-year degree, or 4 year of progressive experience in supervisor/managing a passenger transit system. Previous transportation, guest service, and training experience. Vail CDL B/P or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Pre-employment drug screen. Driving record that meets minimum safe driver standards. Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and internet proficiency. Previous Guest service experience. Must be 21 years of age. Previous Time&Labor management –preferred. Public transportation experience-preferred. The expected pay range is $31.00/hr - $34.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
