Le Lioran

“My visit to Le Lioran was overall a positive experience. The warm reception at the shops and restaurants was a standout. Upon arrival, the temperature was quite high (18 degrees at the bottom of the slopes), but the staff worked diligently to maintain decent slopes until midday. The ski area is quite satisfactory with a charming rombière chairlift tucked away from the main area. The short day ski pass, which starts at 11 a.m., is a commendable feature although one type of pass was unfortunately unavailable. Le Lioran offers a significant off-piste potential, particularly on the Prat de Bouc plateau, but it was not usable during my visit. Despite being a family resort, the queues at the lifts can be lengthy, but the crowd is generally patient and respectful, and the wait is usually not too long. A notable feature is the chairlift with automatic bar opening included in the beginner’s package. It provides access to a green and a blue slope, which is rarely seen elsewhere. One downside is the lack of après-ski activities in the evening. Although a few activities are organized during the week, it's not quite enough. For children, the options are somewhat limited and not free. The park trampolines, inflatable slides, sleds on rails, and snowmobiles are all quite expensive and take up a lot of space. There is also a noticeable absence of a playground area at the resort. Local products are available at reasonable prices and the menus at the snow front are generally local and generous in quantity. Ski lessons with ESF were excellent for young children, while ESI was slightly less impressive. Despite a few drawbacks, Le Lioran has a family-friendly and pleasant atmosphere. It's a bustling resort during the school term, but the slopes and lift queues are manageable. I highly recommend it, particularly when the snow conditions are good. It might not be the largest resort, but it offers long slopes for plenty of fun. The staff (excluding the Tourist Office) were very welcoming and accommodating. They contributed to a fantastic vacation. While there are a few areas for improvement, it's clear that the resort is making an effort to enhance the experience, which is greatly appreciated. The crowd is relaxed and there's a shared understanding that we're all there to enjoy ourselves, which is truly refreshing.”

“I absolutely adore Le Lioran, it is indeed a family resort that has won the hearts of my entire family. The businesses available are of high quality, providing excellent services. During the season, the torchlight descent led by ESF instructors is a wonderful experience to be a part of. It's followed by a delightful glass of mulled wine and a spectacular display of fireworks. However, I do feel that the bars could reconsider their pricing strategy.”
