Voss Resort

“I had a splendid time at the Voss Resort, conveniently located just an hour or so train ride from Bergen. It's incredibly handy that the train stops directly at the gondola station. The resort offers ski hire and lessons at the top of the gondola, with a particularly commendable team led by Alex. My daughter greatly benefited from the instruction provided by Gabby. Both the staff and guests contribute to a serene and friendly atmosphere, unlike any other resort I've visited. The quality of snow and slopes were outstanding, arguably some of the best I've skied on. The absence of crowds was a bonus, often giving us the feeling of having the slopes to ourselves. We even tried night skiing under lights, available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, which was a unique experience. I visited with my two children, who are not advanced skiers, and found the slopes and variety to be perfectly tailored to their needs. Although, it's worth noting that the ski runs may not be extensive enough for more advanced skiers. The restaurant at the top of the gondola provided swift, friendly service and decent food. “Despite being excited about our first visit to Voss Resort, my son and I found ourselves rather disappointed. The resort seemed exclusively tailored for professional skiers, without any provision for casual snow activities for families to enjoy, unlike Sierra Nevada ski resort in Spain. We traveled a long way from Bergen, expecting a fun-filled experience but found ourselves quite lost and unable to enjoy the experience. The resort lacked children's rides or organized group activities that would have made it easier and more enjoyable for my child. There were also no designated areas for families to sit together or play in the snow with simple tools or snowboards. The lack of these amenities left my son and I feeling let down. However, on a positive note, the resort scored high in terms of room quality, service, and location.”

“The location of Voss Resort is undeniably beautiful, however, the standard of customer service leaves much to be desired. I found that it lacked many of the features that usually distinguish a ski resort as professional and top-tier. While the resort has great potential, it still has a long journey ahead to reach that level. Nonetheless, I remain hopeful for its future.”

“I had a truly delightful experience at Voss Resort. My family and I paid a visit in early April and despite it being the Easter period, it was pleasantly uncrowded, enhancing the serene beauty of the snow-filled environment. Although we didn't lodge at the hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed skiing. The slopes were intriguing, providing a good challenge, albeit a bit narrow as others have noted. The panoramic views from the summit were breathtaking and the overall ambiance was very inviting. I look forward to returning to this charming resort!”
