“During my weekday visit to Yogo Kogen, I was pleased to find no waiting time for the lift. I found both the quantity and quality of the snow on the slopes to be more than satisfactory. Contrary to my initial impression that most of the courses were for beginners, I discovered they were primarily for intermediate skiers. However, novice children can still enjoy themselves by using the A and C lifts. I am rating this a 3 star since I have yet to experience it when all the courses are open. I also found the service at the cafeteria somewhat lacking, as the lady working there seemed a bit uncoordinated, which left me feeling a bit apprehensive.”

“Despite its location nestled deeply within the mountains, I found Yogo Kogen quite accessible by car. The ski courses presented me with a diverse range, catering to everyone from young children to advanced skiing enthusiasts.”

“During my visit to Yogo Kogen, I found a few challenges. It appeared there was a shortage of staff, causing delays in ski equipment rentals - I waited for two hours just to find my size was unavailable. This was particularly disappointing as I had visited during the holidays. The cafeteria was notably crowded, and by the afternoon, vending machines were often out of stock. If you're planning a visit with children, it might be wise to bring your own refreshments. While trying to navigate the ski courses, I found them somewhat confusing. I ended up on an advanced course, which left me wondering if the overall layout is more suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. On the bright side, there are ample play areas for children, which serve as a delightful break from snowboarding or sledding.”

“My experience at Yogo Kogen involved trying my hand at snowboarding, which was quite challenging as a novice. The incline right off the lift was rather steep, making it easy to lose balance and fall. To maneuver effectively, it was necessary to have my snowboard on while riding. The C platform, accessible at the halfway point of the lift ride, proved to be much more beginner-friendly. The lift speed slows down at this point, making it easier to disembark. This area was considerably easier for skiing. While the quality of snow was good, I couldn't help but think that powder snow would have enhanced the experience. As I visited on a weekend, it was quite busy. Therefore, I would recommend visiting early in the morning for a quieter, more peaceful experience.”
