Provides daily supervision and leadership to Ass Mgr, Leads, Lift Operators and Scanners within assigned areas. Develops and implements department programs focused on safety, guest service, operational consistency, and employee training. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and developing employees to support department and resort goals. Performance will be evaluated using the company’s leadership competencies, operational standards, and measurable department goals related to safety, service, employee performance, and overall operational success. Job Specifications: Starting Wage: $58,859.00 - $84,084.00 +annual bonus Employment Type: Year Round Shift Type: Full Time hours available Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age Housing Availability: No Job Responsibilities: Provide daily oversight of lift operations, including staffing, scheduling, and monitoring operational needs. Support appropriate staffing levels to meet safety, guest service, and business needs while operating within approved labor and expense budgets. Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging safe work practices, employee engagement, reporting, and continuous improvement. Support the training, coaching, and development of new and returning employees, with an emphasis on building leadership capability within the team. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training processes as assigned. Maintain professional standards and support consistent delivery of the resort’s guest service expectations. Understand and apply applicable company policies, procedures, and operating standards. Address employee performance or conduct concerns in partnership with appropriate leadership and Human Resources processes. Conduct routine observations and audits of lift mazes, loading areas, unloading areas, and surrounding workspaces to support safe, consistent, and professional operations. Maintain working knowledge of applicable lift operations standards, regulations, and company requirements, including ANSI, CPTSB, and OSHA-related requirements relevant to the role. Support compliance efforts and maintain professional working relationships with regulatory and industry representatives as appropriate. Support accurate completion and documentation of required safety, guest service, and operational training. Provide timely communication regarding lift operating schedules, operational changes, and other information that may affect internal business partners. Represent Lift Operations in relevant operational and leadership meetings. Demonstrate professional conduct and leadership consistent with company expectations. During summer operations, support or supervise assigned mountain projects and seasonal lift operations. This may include coordination with construction, utility, environmental, and Lift Maintenance teams, as appropriate to the role. Assist with the preparation, monitoring, and implementation of departmental labor and operating budgets. Ensure daily operational records and documentation are completed accurately and consistently to support communication, maintenance coordination, operational review, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: High school education or equivalent, some college preferred Experience managing large teams, Experience working in the ski industry 3 years in a Mountain Operations supervisory or managerial role Valid driver’s license Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc. Strong English communication skills including verbal & written with the ability to handle complex guest interactions on and off the ski slopes. Previous guest service experience Positive, solutions oriented leadership. Ability to make responsible decisions at critical times The expected pay range is $58,859.00 - $84,084.00 +annual bonus.
