The Assistant Manager Chef plays a key leadership role in supporting the culinary operations of an on-mountain dining outlet. This position works closely with the Sous Chef and broader management team to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and service. The Assistant Manager Chef helps oversee daily kitchen operations, supports staff development, and ensures that food preparation and presentation meet established standards. Job Specifications: Starting Wage: $25.00/hr - $29.55/hr Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026 Shift Type: Full Time hours available Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age Housing Availability: No Job Responsibilities: Assist in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, quality control, and sanitation. Support the Sous Chef in leading and mentoring kitchen staff to maintain a productive and positive work environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards. Help coordinate inventory, ordering, and cost control measures. Contribute to menu execution and seasonal updates in collaboration with the culinary team. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, especially during peak service times. Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef. Job Qualifications: 2+ years of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen environment. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Passion for food, hospitality, and delivering memorable guest experiences. The expected pay range is $25.00/hr - $29.55/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
