POSITION SUMMARY Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Payroll Systems Analyst to support the Shared Services Payroll team. This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day payroll operational needs of the Workday, Workday Time Tracking, and TeamDynamix/Fresh Service environment including, but not limited to, user support, supporting ongoing enhancements, data changes, testing, reporting, and general platform and end-user support. Supports the Global payroll leadership with strategic planning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES General Responsibilities Participate as a team member to achieve successful support and enhancements of Workday HR/Payroll and Finance, and Workday Time Tracking.Work with internal teams and with vendor consultants to properly support Workday and other payroll applicationsSupport the day-to-day operational needs of the Global Payroll Workday environmentSupport Bi-Weekly payrolls:Perform the "Complete through post settlement"Run payroll reportsAdhere and update the Payroll Runbook as neededPerform daily configuration support of Payroll modules in Workday Partner with HRIS to monitor the Payroll Workday functional ticketing queue and provide troubleshooting support for end user reported issuesDevelop and modify reports, analytics, metrics and dashboards for payroll management and functional Workday usersAssist in testing Workday major releases, identifying impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release, and communicating appropriately to payroll management and end usersMonitor and process as assigned the various integrations to outside systems that are in production.Payroll: Work with the various business units to prepare and upload Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for mass data entryActively participate in Workday Community to identify any potential issues as well as identify any new solutions to existing issuesEnsures all required Timekeeping tasks are being met at all Alterra locations daily/weekly/per pay cycleAbility to support a Fast-Paced Seasonal employee Ramp Up, and Ramp DownAbility to work and support a flex work schedule, to include weekends and seasonal holidaysWorks directly with the assigned Timekeepers located at multiple locations (U.S & Canada), providing support as neededDaily and Weekly: Monitor's activity at the resorts ensuring employee's time is accurately recorded and completeDaily and Weekly: Responsible for timekeeping for the Corporate-Denver employees. Ensures timely processing of all-time records at the assigned locationDaily and Weekly: work with local timekeepers/managers to resolve errors (i.e., missed punches, meal break adjustments, correct job, schedule changes)Assist supervisors and employees with edits or questions regarding WDTT and determine if an issue needs to be escalated to the HRIS for further reviewPartners with local Timekeepers to provide training to new/ timekeeper replacementsAssist the Payroll Specialist in researching and resolving any payroll issues/discrepancies pertaining to the general ledger caused by time entryAssist the Tax Analyst and provide information for internal and external audits when related to time entrySupports HRIS during system upgrades/enhancementsIncludes testing- if requiredUpdating necessary SOP's/checklists/reportsCommunicating any necessary changes to all TimekeepersWork independently with great team spiritTake full ownership of and accountability for assigned tasks and communicate status accurately to management and teamsOther duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3 -5 years of payroll professional experience2+ years of Workday/other payroll application Payroll end user supportPayroll, HR implementation experienceExperience working in multi-state, multi-entity payroll environment Full understanding of payroll withholding tax guidelines and requirements Strong working knowledge of payroll laws and processesStrong business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, etc.Demonstrated competency in documenting solutions for both technical and functional audiences.Experience with testing, including definition and execution of test plans and scenarios.Proficient in the MS Office suite of productsGeneral knowledge of Finance General Ledger & Accounting PrincipalsStrong research and analytical skillsDemonstrated success in managing multiple tasks in a complex and fast changing environmentSelf-motivated and directed with the ability to learn quicklyAble to multi-task and concurrently manage multiple tasksAble to work independentlyTeam oriented with strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsAble to drive results EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in accounting, information technology or similar field, or equivalent 5+ years' experienceDiploma or certificate in Payroll management, or equivalent experience. Diploma or certificate in information technology will also be considered. Preferred Experience: Experience in Workday, ADP Smart ComplianceAdvanced knowledge of MS Office; Excel, WordCPP Payroll The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
