Cerler

“Cerler used to be my preferred ski station, but recent changes have lessened its appeal for me. The expansion in the Castanesa sector, for instance, feels underwhelming with only two subpar ski tracks. I understand the intent may be to create a new valley and connection to the station via Catalonia, but I believe attention should be given to upgrading existing infrastructure first, particularly the chairlifts. The current state of the chairlifts and access to Ampriu is disappointing. The Cogulla chairlift, for instance, is inconvenient to use despite the excellent ski track beside it. The Sarrau two-seater chairlift appears outdated, reminiscent of the 70s. The Molino chairlift is also unreliable, often breaking down and causing inconvenience. Additionally, the location and timing of the classes were problematic. The classes were scheduled to begin at Cota 2000 at 10am on Sunday. This led to people, particularly beginners, having to risk their safety by descending the blue ravine track to reach the class on time. However, without any warning, the Spanish School began classes in Ampriu, causing great frustration among attendees. The station's recent performance is disheartening, especially considering there are talks of a new cable car from Benasque to Molino. I can't help but find this amusing given the current state of affairs.”

“I was disappointed with my visit to Cerler. Despite a recent heavy snowfall, many of the slopes were not groomed, including some of the largest ones like Gallinero and Rincón del Cielo. These weren't even opened until after 11, which was quite inconvenient given the large number of visitors that day. To top it all, the full ski pass was still charged. Honestly, I expected better.”
