“Upon my arrival at Orcières Merlette 1850, I witnessed an unsettling incident in the dining room and the elevator/reception area involving a fellow guest. The response to this incident was not reassuring, as I did not observe the affected areas being thoroughly disinfected. This caused me to worry about the potential health risks present, and I chose to leave promptly. As for the establishment itself, I found the rooms, service, and location to be less than satisfactory. My expectations for a pleasant family holiday were not met.”

The convenience of being able to collect my skis from the hotel and head straight to the slopes was a highlight. The locker facilities for storing equipment were also very useful. Although I didn't opt for the all-inclusive package, I didn't find myself eating much there.”

The accommodations consist of quaint studios, all equipped with a kitchen and conveniently situated at the base of the skiing slopes. Opting for either the all-inclusive or half-inclusive choice will get you access to a quite satisfactory buffet. The staff members are pleasant and the beds provide a good level of comfort. Overall, for those who don't require excessive luxury, it's a superb choice offering great value.”
