“My family and I spent a remarkable week at Kendall Mountain during Spring break, making it our best experience in recent years. We had the pleasure of meeting Allison (affectionally known as Squirrel) and her boss Taylor from the custodial team, as well as Chris from the retail area. Their helpfulness and friendliness truly enhanced our stay. Taylor, in particular, was memorable for his warm greetings every morning, making us feel like old friends. Purgatory proved to be an ideal vacation spot for us, boasting clean and well-maintained interiors, excellently groomed ski trails, and a plethora of activities for the children. We were also quite pleased with the food. We're grateful for the wonderful memories created during our stay, and we look forward to visiting again soon! This holiday trip was a family venture that can be highlighted by the breathtaking view, child-friendly atmosphere, and remarkable value.”

The location is beautiful and brimming with welcoming restaurants and convenient facilities. We were a group of five adults and are eager to return, this time bringing along our adult kids and grandchildren. “Purgatory - Durango is an exceptional resort that offers a range of amenities. The property is adorned with numerous restaurants and stores, offering everything from toys to ski gear. The rooms are nothing short of impressive. The staff is commendable for their exceptional service. They have been incredibly helpful and friendly, answering all my queries and demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the slopes. The ski slopes themselves are fantastic. Despite the long lifts, they lead to wonderful runs that last a good length. The greens are distinctly separated from the blues and blacks, except where marked signs and ropes indicate otherwise. The slopes cater to everyone's skill level, from easy and smooth greens to extreme terrain blacks off the property. The inclusion of tree runs and a variety of terrain parks further enhances the resort's appeal. A short 40-minute drive away is downtown Durango, a charming area filled with toy stores, clothing boutiques, gem shops, and eateries, among other establishments. In summary, Purgatory ranks among the top resorts I've visited, providing an array of runs and a memorable experience for all skiers. The rooms, service, and location all deserve a 5-star rating.”
