“My first experience snowboarding outdoors at West Mountain was truly memorable. The children adapted wonderfully to the activity and we're already eager to return. Even after we had completed our run, I found it very enjoyable to observe others as they tackled the jumps. The moments captured were worth sharing on my Instagram account, @docnitty23. The place was not crowded, so we didn't have to wait at all. I would indeed recommend making a reservation before visiting. Overall, a fantastic experience at West Mountain.”

“Having visited West Mountain for the first time on New Year's Eve, I was taken by its quaint charm and fantastic atmosphere. Although my companion wasn't having the best initial experience, the staff were incredibly understanding and went out of their way to assist us, making our visit a truly great experience. A special thanks to Adam and the rental team for their outstanding professionalism and kindness. Despite it being a public holiday, the wait time was only around 10 to 30 minutes, which was quite reasonable.”

“West Mountain is a suitable ski resort for beginners and families, with its terrain predominantly composed of short greens and a few blues. However, it may not fully satisfy more advanced skiers. Unfortunately, the cafeteria experience was rather disappointing, with a cold and unappetizing slice of pizza on offer. The person at the register, possibly the manager or owner, was seen ignoring customers to harshly criticize the staff, creating an uncomfortable and tense environment. On a positive note, the staff at the lift, bar, and ticket counter were very friendly and approachable, particularly those at the Apex Chair. While the weather conditions were perfect for snowmaking, it was a shame that the snow guns were not in operation, especially given that many of the blue trails were closed due to insufficient snow. Grooming was satisfactory, albeit with room for improvement as some trails had dangerous contours that could have been smoothed out. As a supporter of independent resorts, I found West Mountain lacking in comparison to others in terms of terrain selection, snowmaking, and cafeteria services. I might consider visiting again to see if these issues persist, but it seemed that certain aspects of the resort were not well-managed. Despite some drawbacks, the wait time was reasonable, up to 10 minutes, and reservations are recommended. The adult entry fee was affordable.”
