Grand Targhee Ski Resort, situated in the scenic Tetons, is a gem for skiing enthusiasts. Its expansive terrain, coupled with an impressive lift service, ensures a comfortable and uncrowded skiing experience even on the busiest of days. The resort is particularly known for its consistent and fantastic snow quality, often likened to skiing on a cloud. The efficient new Doppelmeyer six-man high-speed lift has transformed the resort's accessibility, providing skiers swift access to previously challenging terrains. These enhancements, along with the resort's excellent snow, long descents, and breathtaking views, make Grand Targhee a top choice for genuine mountain enjoyment. The resort's terrain caters to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced skiers, making it a versatile skiing destination. Its welcoming atmosphere and absence of lift lines further enhance the overall experience. The resort also offers convenient on-site amenities such as shops and dining options, adding to its appeal. However, while the resort is praised for its skiing conditions and amenities, some guests have noted certain downsides. These include limited hours for the grocery store, noise disturbances after 10 PM, loud air conditioning, and inadequate space for ski equipment storage. Yet, despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience at Grand Targhee is highly rated. The resort's food and drink offerings have received positive reviews, both for their quality and reasonable pricing. There are also accommodation options available at the resort, although some guests prefer to stay in nearby towns due to the resort's distance from city amenities. In summary, Grand Targhee Ski Resort is a highly recommended skiing destination offering excellent snow conditions, efficient lift service, and a range of skill-level terrains. While there are minor areas for improvement, the resort's overall appeal is undoubted, providing an authentic and enjoyable mountain experience for all.
