“I wholeheartedly recommend Hohenbogenbahn! One of its best features is the staff, especially the individual who assisted me at the middle station on January 31, 2023. This person was incredibly friendly and tirelessly helped me with my sled and the chairlift. There are also two toboggan runs to choose from, one steep and short, the other flat and longer. I appreciated the welcoming stops for snacks and refreshments along the way, offering good food and excellent service. The rental sledges were also of good value and parking was free of charge. However, there were a few downsides. The quality of sleds varies - while one was fast and easy to steer, another had a strong right-hand spin. I eventually exchanged it for a more manageable one, but it was slower. The slope is quite steep and powdery with numerous large potholes that resulted in numerous bruises from the wooden sled. Lastly, the service from the cashier on January 31, 2023, was less than satisfactory. This individual wasn't particularly friendly or helpful, particularly over the phone. Similarly, the staff member at the elevator during lunchtime could have been friendlier. I also felt that the ticket price was rather steep for a 3-hour pass for the short, outdated lift.”

“I would recommend confirming the operating hours before your visit to Hohenbogenbahn. I visited on a Tuesday and found it closed, despite the weather being dry and partly sunny. I was unsure if the establishment would be open the following day, as even the landlord was uncertain.”

“I enjoyed the beauty of Hohenbogenbahn's ski area, conveniently located near the Hotel Klosterhof. I found the children's ski course particularly commendable. Despite its small size, the ski area provided ample fun and excitement. Another highlight was the winter toboggan run through the forest, which was a unique experience. I also had the opportunity to use the chairlift to the middle station. The view from the mountain station was exceptional, especially during clear weather.”

“My experience with the Hohenbogenbahn was mostly positive. I noticed that the chairlift cable car is a bit outdated, with the seats showing signs of age, including old foam pads. However, I was pleased to see that these chairlift seats have since been replaced. The trip up and down the mountain was enjoyable and not overly burdensome. The summer toboggan run for 2023 remains a stable attraction. The mountain trip was an enjoyable experience for both adults and children above 6 years old. I appreciated the recent improvements. Notably, a wooden pier with catering has been added, enhancing the overall experience. This is a place worth visiting for its unique charm and the thrilling mountain trip.”
