“I have been visiting Massanutten for several years and it never disappoints. It's a tranquil and serene place with a multitude of activities to engage in. Nearby wineries add to the charm of the location. On a scale of 5, I would rate the rooms and location a 4 each, indicative of their excellent condition and convenience. However, the service could use a bit of improvement, as I would rate it a 3.”

“I must express my disappointment as an owner at Massanutten. Previously, I would have rated it with 5 stars, but my recent experience compels me to downgrade it to a 2-star rating. My dissatisfaction stems from a lack of attention and care for the properties. Moreover, the service was not up to par, which didn't match the decent location and decent rooms it offers. I'd advise future visitors to be cautious. I visited this location with my family on vacation.”

“My experiences over multiple visits to Massanutten have generally been positive, but during my recent stay, I noticed several changes that affected my enjoyment. I would advise against booking during the week of Memorial Day, as many activities and facilities were closed from Tuesday to Thursday, including the water park. It was disappointing to discover that they no longer offer the discount book. There was an unexpected situation involving the concierge/timeshare representative who suggested an "Altimate" pass for the water park and golf. After explaining that I already owned a timeshare, they assured me it was just to get feedback on their resort performance. The meeting ended on a cordial note, however. A surprising change was the introduction of a 120 resort fee, which seems to vary depending on the size of the unit. This was a letdown after years of enjoying all-inclusive amenities, and the fact that most of the resort was closed for three days further lessened my experience. My daughter and I considered exploring some trails, only to find out that we needed to purchase a ten-day pass for hiking or biking. With many facilities closed, we thought swimming would be a safe option, but discovered that only one pool was open during the week, and the indoor pool at the rec center was only open for laps in the morning. In terms of accommodation, the summit condo was clean and adequate. However, compared to other summit locations, the Hillside felt inferior. Balconies with views are only accessible through bedrooms, and the living room windows of the lower units face a hillside less than 15 feet away, while the upper units overlook a parking lot. In the past, I have thoroughly enjoyed the quiet, family-friendly atmosphere of this resort. However, given the recent changes and limited activities available during my stay, I am unsure about returning in the near future. As for my ratings: Rooms - 3, Service - 2, Location - 3.”
