“I reveled in the beauty of Velebno, a mountain hotel nestled in the heart of the Velebit chain. Sadly, this gem has been shuttered for several years, a fact that deeply saddens me. The location is second to none, perfectly situated halfway between the stunning Dalmatian coast of Karlobag and the bustling town of Gospić. This scenic spot has attracted a diverse mix of tourists, hunting enthusiasts, and nature lovers from far and wide. The lush, varied vegetation and the delightful walks, some of which lead all the way to the sea, were much appreciated by all. I eagerly await the potential reopening of this hotel and will certainly share the news when it happens.”

“It's quite disappointing. Despite Velebno being a premium complex with a fantastic climate and proximity to the sea, it's unfortunate that things here seem to be in a state of disarray, ruining what once used to be a smooth-running operation.”

“Many years have passed since my stay at this hotel, yet the warm, clean and tidy rooms, alongside the satisfactory food, have left a lasting impression. It is a pity that the hotel is no longer operational.
The hotel's proximity to beautiful nature, a ski slope, and a sledding spot made it an ideal location for winter activities. Its design was intriguing, blending well with the winter destinations and mountain regions. It catered to all: families with children, the elderly, and young people alike. I recall my time there with my class for a nature retreat. It was a phenomenal experience, complete with a sports hall facility. The nearby attractions were easily accessible, saving us from extensive travel.
Typically, I don't pen down reviews, but my stay at this hotel compelled me to share my experience. I would be elated to return for another winter stay once the hotel reopens. I believe the hotel holds great potential. If it establishes collaboration with schools or kindergartens for group visits, it could thrive in its business.”
