Job Responsibilities: Join us for as a Prep Cook for our Activities department! This position is responsible for providing a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients. Their duties include organizing and labeling food in storage, proper food safety when prepping ingredients, must be familiar with basics of cooking, following directions and have a strong attention to detail. Complete tasks on the supervisor's prep list in orderLabel and stock ingredients on accessible shelvesWash, chop, and sort fruits, vegetables, meats, and dry suppliesMeasure and prepare ingredients for recipesParboil food, reduce sauces, proof dough, and start various dishesPrepare and deliver guest orders, including "to go" items, with speed and accuracyUse kitchen equipment safely, following nutrition and sanitation standardsCommunicate professionally with associates and clients per company standardsRespond to supervisor requests for various tasks, including dishwashing and sanitizingReport spoilage or shortages immediatelyMaintain walk-in coolers per standards and refrigerate perishable foods properlyClean workstation and follow up with supervisor for closing instructionsEmbrace Alterra Mountain Company culture and core values through training and active participationPerform other job-related duties as assigned Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Experience: Previous related experience All Information above is subject to change at any time.
