Abzakovo Ski Resort is a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. Despite a few shortcomings, the resort offers a delightful experience for visitors with its scenic beauty and well-planned slopes. The resort seems to be a preferred choice for experienced skiers rather than beginners, considering the steepness of the slopes and the fact that the training slope is small and steep.
One issue raised by visitors is the parking system, as the barrier is quite a distance from the slopes, and the parking fee is taken upon exit rather than in advance, which has been a cause of delay for some. Moreover, customers have reported experiencing some confusion with ski pass purchases due to lack of signage. However, the resort offers reasonable prices for equipment rentals, and there are several hotels within walking distance offering affordable accommodation.
The resort features two chairlifts and several drag lifts, though it appears that not all of them are operational at all times. The chairlift to the top offers breathtaking views, making the ride enjoyable despite the chill. However, some visitors found the rope tows challenging to use, particularly for snowboarding.
Despite the resort retaining some characteristics from the "Soviet times", Abzakovo Ski Resort is generally appreciated for its neatness, commendable lift maintenance, and well-conditioned slopes. It also features a zoo, offering an exciting diversion for children. Eateries and cafes are available on-site, providing convenience for visitors.
Overall, Abzakovo Ski Resort is a much-loved spot for winter sports enthusiasts. It offers an engaging blend of skiing and snowboarding opportunities, complemented by a picturesque natural backdrop. Despite a few areas of improvement, it has left a positive impression on its visitors, inviting them back for more.
