“My first visit to Bluewood left me a bit underwhelmed. The journey there was somewhat hazardous due to the long, narrow road, strewn with rockfall. In comparison to other resorts, there seemed to be only 1.5 lifts, a main one and a second, shorter one. However, I did appreciate the moderately lengthy runs and the relatively fast lifts. One of the unique features of Bluewood is a dedicated run for the terrain park, with jumps and rails on a short but well-laid out path, which I found a lot of fun. The small, quaint lodge at the top of the mountain was another charming aspect. However, my overall opinion was affected by the fact that despite its smaller size and fewer amenities, Bluewood's rate was comparable to larger, more accessible resorts. That being said, its off-the-beaten-path location, extremely family-friendly atmosphere, and suitability for beginners might make it worth the price for some. For me, it's a place I could potentially visit once a year, considering the rate. It's certainly worth trying at least once.”

“Bluewood is an excellent location for beginners to get into snowboarding, especially for those living in the tri cities. I took advantage of their EZ 1 2 3 package which includes three lessons and a season pass, making it an incredible deal. The staff at Bluewood are exceptionally friendly and the lodge is well-kept. It's a great place to relax, not overly crowded which is a bonus for non-participating family members.
