Cannonsburg Ski Resort is an enjoyable destination for family outings, offering a variety of recreational activities. With an array of five tracks ranging from easy to challenging levels, it caters to both beginners and seasoned skiers. The tubing experience at Cannonsburg is particularly noteworthy, providing a thrilling yet safe adventure. The resort's staff are supportive and helpful, assisting visitors to enhance their downhill experience.
The resort is also equipped with cozy fireplaces in the cabin area, providing visitors with a warm and inviting space to unwind after a day of winter fun. The restaurant serves delectable food, although service times have been noted as an area of improvement.
The resort's ski instructors have garnered positive feedback for their friendly and professional demeanor. However, customer experiences with the food and concessions staff have been mixed. Concerns were raised about their attitude and organization, indicating a need for improved customer service training.
Cannonsburg's indoor facilities and parking lot could also benefit from enhancements. The condition of the ski lifts was criticized, but the variety and quality of the ski slopes were praised. The tubing hills, in particular, were a hit among visitors of all ages.
Unique features such as the 'Magic Carpet' add to the resort's appeal, enhancing the tubing experience by eliminating the need for visitors to haul their tubes uphill. The resort also offers comprehensive online services, such as ticket purchasing and waiver signing.
Despite some shortcomings, such as the condition of the bathrooms and parking lot, Cannonsburg Ski Resort maintains its appeal as a fun-filled, family-friendly destination. The resort's beautiful trails for snowshoeing and fat tire biking also provide alternative outdoor activities. Whether you are a new skier, a snowboarder, or simply looking for a winter outing with family, Cannonsburg offers a well-executed, albeit minimalist, experience.
