Echo Mountain Park – Idaho Springs

“I find Echo Mountain Park in Idaho Springs to be a relatively affordable option that is conveniently located near the metro. It's a real plus that there are hardly any lines for the lifts, which makes the experience smoother. However, the conditions can be a bit icy, and the slopes are limited to green and blue runs. For those who enjoy freestyle skiing or snowboarding, it may be disappointing to find that there are no jumps or rails available.”

“Echo Mountain Park in Idaho Springs is a destination I would wholeheartedly endorse. Despite being a regular at Winter Park, I decided to visit Echo Mountain due to its reputation for being beginner-friendly and the presence of Ambassadors who assist first-time skiers. While the online booking and rental process was slightly tedious, especially for a group of seven, the experience improved significantly upon arrival. The check-in, rentals, and the learning process with the Ambassadors were the smoothest experiences I've ever had. Each interaction with the staff was wonderful. The teens in our group picked up snowboarding quickly, thanks to the helpful Ambassadors, and even switched to skiing the next day. One Ambassador, Michael, was particularly memorable. Angel, the EMT, was exceptionally kind and encouraging to a younger member of our group who had a minor accident. Our group of nine did create a bit of a stir when three members switched from snowboarding to skiing, but the rental staff handled the situation brilliantly. Their knowledge and expertise were impressive. Our group, consisting of six first-time skiers or snowboarders, an advanced beginner, and an experienced snowboarder, all had an incredible time. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the variety of trails, from the 'bunny hill' with an escalator to the secluded trails through the woods.”

“I wholeheartedly recommend Echo Mountain Park in Idaho Springs. I enjoyed an unforgettable day with my children there. The staff was exceptional and the runs were enjoyable. The food available was reasonable and the fellow visitors were down-to-earth. There were no queues and everything was incredibly straightforward. It should be noted that this place is all about skiing and not about unnecessary frills like complimentary foot rubs, free cookies, or extravagant architecture. It's a ski day, not a spa day, and for that, Echo Mountain Park excels.”
