Harusák – Nové Město na Moravě Ski Resort is a quaint but popular skiing destination located in the Vysočina region. The resort is highly favored by beginners due to its 500-meter slope and a two-seater lift. The lift, though older, is well-maintained and offers an excellent opportunity for skiers to enjoy the slope without the use of hook lifts. A small hill for children to learn skiing is also a highlight of the resort.
The resort is staffed by a helpful and friendly team who are usually in a good mood. There is ample parking available, with the best spots located higher on the slope. However, less experienced drivers are advised to park at the bottom due to the steep, slippery conditions and narrowness of the road. For convenience, a credit skipass system is in place, allowing skiers to earn points that decrease with each ride.
In addition to skiing, the resort also offers snowboarding facilities. There is a local rental shop for snowboards and boots, which is reasonably priced. The slope is wide, not overly busy, and offers a mix of easy and challenging parts, making it a perfect place for both beginners and experienced skiers to enjoy.
For refreshments, a small pub is available on-site offering fast food, soup, and drinks. There is also a hut nearby serving good food and drinks. The resort is suitable for families and new starters, with a special area dedicated to teaching young children.
However, the resort is not without its shortcomings. There is no sled zone which could be a problem for families with small children. The bistro, located at the other end, is reported to be quite pricey and uncomfortably hot inside. Despite these minor setbacks, the resort's accessibility, free parking, and pleasant service make it a popular choice for ski enthusiasts.
