High1 Resort Overview

High1 Resort, a renowned ski destination, offers an immersive winter experience that caters to every age and skill level. The resort is especially loved for its Snow World, a unique feature that transforms into a water park during summer, ensuring year-round entertainment for visitors. The resort opens its doors for the season in early December, providing a variety of recreational opportunities, from snow sledding for children to advanced slopes for expert skiers.

Reaching High1 Resort is straightforward, with Cheongnyangni station in Seoul providing a direct train route to Gohan station. From Gohan, it is advised to take a taxi or a shuttle bus to the resort's check-in centre, as the journey on foot can be challenging due to the uphill terrain. Upon arrival, guests receive vouchers for ski equipment rental and lift passes while their luggage is securely stored until room check-in at 15:00.

The on-site Ski House, located within walking distance from the check-in centre, is where you can redeem your vouchers and rent equipment. Ski passes, arm bands, and rental receipts are provided at the ticket counter, and equipment rental, including skis and helmets, is available inside. Lockers are also provided for the safekeeping of personal belongings. For the convenience of guests, ski clothing can be rented from the shop upstairs.

Accommodation at High1 Resort is both comfortable and spacious, with underfloor heating ensuring a warm stay during the cold season. Guests are provided with a queen-sized bed and Korean-style thin mattress futons in the additional room, accommodating up to five people. However, guests are reminded to bring bath towels and toiletries as only small face towels and soap bars are provided.

The resort's location is strategically positioned near the start of the gondolas, allowing for a seamless ski-on, ski-off experience. For everyday essentials, there is a convenience store at the bottom of Block F, though meal options on the resort may be limited.

As an early season destination, High1 Resort offers long, easy slopes for beginners and narrow stretches for more experienced skiers. While early season snow conditions can be unpredictable, the resort remains a popular choice for its variety of slopes and well-organised setup. High1 Resort provides an ideal blend of convenience and adventure, with a setting that is best enjoyed with a car for exploring the surrounding valley and village.
