Tucked away in the heart of Austria, the Hochhäderich - Hittisau Ski Resort offers an unparalleled year-round experience for outdoor enthusiasts. In the summer, the resort transforms into a hiker's paradise. The trails are easily accessible and range from simple to moderately challenging, making them ideal even for small children and individuals with strollers. A popular choice among visitors is the circular route, which begins at the hotel's hiking car park and winds its way to the Alpe Hochwies. At the summit, visitors are treated to a pristine view of Lake Constance. There's also a small snack hut at the summit cross, complete with a playground for children.

During winter, the resort morphs into a cozy ski area. Despite its compact size, the ski resort is regularly frequented by skiers and snowboarders alike. The skiing area features a well-maintained winter hiking trail, which stretches approximately 5km. Starting from the valley station of the mountain railway, the trail loops back towards the Falkenhütte, passing several alpine pastures. The resort also serves as a starting point for the adventurous ridge hike from Hochhäderich to Hochgrat, offering spectacular scenery and stunning views. In addition, it is an excellent location for a mountain hike from St. Michael's Chapel in Hittisau/Reute, which rewards hikers with views over the Bregenzerwald on one side and the Allgäu on the other.
