Kappl Overview

Kappl Ski Resort is a charming, less crowded alternative to larger resorts, offering an intimate ski experience amidst a stunning natural backdrop. The resort is graced with abundant sunshine and boasts of a diverse range of slopes making it an ideal choice for skiers of all expertise levels, from beginners to advanced. The resort is also a great choice for families, with dedicated slopes for young kids and a supportive staff always ready to assist with gondola entry and exit.

The resort's gondola system is efficient, albeit slightly old, and brings skiers to the top of the mountain offering breathtaking panoramic views. Kappl hosts an adventure park, children's playground, and even a disc golf course making it more than just a ski destination. However, the resort also caters to the thrill-seekers with opportunities for off-piste skiing at their own risk.

A notable feature of Kappl is the 'Smuggler Route', a slope that ends in Switzerland, allowing for a unique tax-free shopping experience in a quaint Swiss town. Kappl's slopes are well-covered by a good lift system and the area, despite not being the largest, has everything a skier's heart may desire.

The resort is also home to several good restaurants and a mountain cabin, however, some visitors have found the latter to be a bit pricey. Moreover, the resort's parking lot, though small, usually has ample parking spaces available. The payment options are flexible, accepting both cash and credit cards.

Visitors can choose between a local Kappl ski pass or the wider Silvretta ski pass which is valid in See, Kappl, Ischgl, and Galtuer. Despite some minor drawbacks such as lack of a modern elevator and occasional staff rudeness, Kappl Ski Resort is highly recommended for its excellent service, well-maintained slopes, and the overall great ski experience it offers.
