Lake Songhua Resort Overview

Lake Songhua Resort is a widely popular ski resort, visited frequently by both beginner and intermediate skiers. The resort's proximity to the city makes it a convenient destination for urban dwellers, and it boasts a variety of slopes, the longest of which is an impressive 4.1km. It is highly recommended for skiing enthusiasts to have their helmets for safety on the slopes. As the resort continues to grow in popularity, visitors may experience increased crowding, however, plans for the expansion of slopes are underway to accommodate the rising numbers.

Despite low snowfall, Lake Songhua Resort still manages to maintain a decent skiing experience. It offers three main runs; a Black down the left, a Green down the middle, and a Green/Blue down the right. All runs are quite mild, catering to various skill levels, and the resort ensures the entire mountain is well groomed. However, the surface can get icy as temperatures drop to as low as -20 Celsius at night.

The resort offers a unique experience with its blend of modern facilities and friendly staff. It is equipped with a number of hotels and apartments at the base, various restaurants and even fast food chains like KFC. The trails cater to different skill levels, but off-track trails and double diamonds might not be available. Regardless of the time of the visit, the resort ensures the snow is well maintained, offering a cold and dry snow experience.

The resort also has a medical team on standby, further enhancing the safety measures in place. It is worth noting that the resort primarily accepts payments through Alipay or WeChat, and may not accept Mastercard or American Express. Despite being a small resort, it is considered one of the top-tier ski resorts in China, offering a blend of charm, convenience, and quality skiing experiences.
