La Norma is a quaint, small ski resort nestled in the heart of the mountains, perfect for both beginners and seasoned skiers or snowboarders. This family-friendly destination offers a myriad of green and blue runs, complemented by a notable red run. Its location provides easy access to nearby ski resorts like Val Frejus, Val Cenis, Assois, and Bonneval, making it a great base for exploration.
The resort is well-equipped with a range of amenities. It boasts a charming village featuring numerous shops, bars, and restaurants. The lift system, though having a few slow lifts, is efficient overall. A recent upgrade to the gondola lift has further enhanced the skiing experience. The resort is also recognized for its freeriding opportunities.
The picturesque views and family-oriented hikes make it a delightful spot all year round. It caters well to the youngest visitors with a range of attractions including evening lantern rides, animators, and more. The Dimo animation crew and resort patrol are vigilant in ensuring safety, despite the odd speeder on the slopes.
The resort manages the lack of snow commendably with well-maintained pistes and friendly staff. The addition of a new telecabine and forest ski route elevates the skiing experience. The sunny slopes are comparable to those at Val Cenis, offering the perfect blend of groomed slopes and powder snow.
Two slope-side restaurants cater to the culinary needs of visitors, and a toboggan run provides extra excitement. The resort also offers practical facilities such as free parking, a washing machine, and dryer for a nominal fee.
Despite the majority of the green and blue slopes being slightly narrow, La Norma provides a diverse choice of slopes for all levels. The resort's orientation allows for sun exposure throughout the day, and the pedestrian-friendly village with its shops and restaurants offers a reprieve from city stresses. La Norma is truly a ski resort that promises an unforgettable experience for everyone.
