Laterns – Gapfohl, a ski resort, is renowned for its family-oriented environment, boasting simple slopes that are easily navigable for beginners and intermediate skiers. It is a perfect destination to enjoy a full day or two of skiing, with a free lift for children under five and a dedicated play area, making it an ideal choice for families with small children. The ski area offers excellent parking facilities, conveniently located near the lift ticket booth where equipment rentals are also available.

The resort is also home to a main restaurant and bar, strategically positioned for easy access. Visitors frequently commend the quality of the food and drinks, as well as the stunning views of nature that can be enjoyed from the restaurant. Along with skiing, the resort offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking and sleighing.

The ski area, though small, is well-designed with long, wide slopes that cater to all skill levels. It features a practice slope located on the mountain ensuring the best snow conditions. Despite its size, the resort rarely has queues for the lift, adding to its appeal.

However, there have been instances of dissatisfaction among visitors, primarily due to the condition of the toboggan run and the behavior of some staff members. The toboggan run was reported to be in poor condition, with dangerous waves, potholes and large rocks, making it unsafe for both children and adults. Additionally, some customers described their encounters with unfriendly and unprofessional staff, particularly at the gondola and checkout.

Despite these concerns, many visitors appreciate the resort's well-groomed slopes, beautiful views, and the convenience of free parking. A significant number of guests have expressed their desire to return, praising the resort as a beautiful skiing area that is just the right size for both families and more advanced skiers.
