The lifts operate swiftly, and pleasingly, there's a notable absence of queues particularly during weekdays. When it comes to practicality for skiing in Ontario, this resort stands out – it offers the possibility of achieving more runs in a single day than any other location in the province.”

“Embarking on my snowboarding or skiing journey, I found Mount St. Louis Moonstone to be the ideal start. I registered on their website and opted for a beginner's package, which included a one-hour lesson and rentals such as a snowboard, boots, and a helmet. A locker rental was also added to my purchase for my convenience. It is recommended to arrive about 35 minutes before the lesson time, but I suggest being there an hour early. The location to head to is the upper side of Moonstone, not the base of the hill. Clear signs indicate where to park, and staff are on hand to guide you to a suitable spot. Once inside through the main entrance, I spoke to guest services where I received an RFID for the ski lifts. I also secured a locker key. Next, I was directed to another room to pick up my boots and helmet. After storing my belongings in the locker, I collected my snowboard which was set up for me by the helpful staff. The highlight was meeting the instructors in the designated area. Andy, my instructor, was particularly delightful and effective, helping me get on my feet. Everyone at the resort was incredibly friendly and supportive. As a complete novice with some background in other boarding sports, I managed to snowboard on the same day I took the lesson and felt more comfortable by the second day. I must say, Mount St. Louis Moonstone has successfully created another snowboard enthusiast in me, and I eagerly look forward to returning next season!”
