Mozyr Overview

Mozyr Ski Resort is the sole ski resort in Mozyr, offering a variety of winter activities for outdoor enthusiasts. The resort is equipped with a wide but slightly short ski slope, which features a significant incline that can lead to fast accelerations - perhaps not the most beginner-friendly. The operation of the yoke, or rope tow, requires some learning, and misuse can lead to traffic jams at the top of the slope. It is advisable to arrive early, around 10 AM, especially on weekends to avoid overcrowding.

The resort's parking lot can accommodate a limited number of vehicles, but additional spaces along the road or in a nearby vacant lot are often utilized. The rental house and ticket office are conveniently located near the entrance. Ski equipment rentals are available, with the cost of the rope tow included. The equipment provided is basic and somewhat worn but sufficient for a day on the slopes.

In addition to skiing, Mozyr Ski Resort offers other winter activities including a skating rink, a Tabogan sled track, and a tubing track. The tubing track is a standout with its high roll and soft mesh boundaries. However, the skating rink could use better maintenance as it is often covered in snow and has visible potholes.

The resort staff is generally helpful and responsive. They are ready to assist and provide guidance, particularly on how to operate the yoke correctly to prevent mishaps. Signage at the resort can be a bit confusing as some signs indicate attractions are temporarily closed for technical reasons, even when they are operational.

Facilities at the resort are well-maintained. The toilets, located to the left of the rental building, are clean and spacious, equipped with hand dryers and detergents. Overall, Mozyr Ski Resort provides an enjoyable winter experience despite some operational challenges.
