Predigtstuhl Arena is a ski resort celebrated for its well-crafted slopes and beginner-friendly environment. Despite challenging weather conditions, the management has gone to great lengths to ensure the slopes are maintained to a high standard, providing a satisfactory skiing experience for all. It is a location steeped in nostalgia for many, having served as a training ground for several generations of skiers.
The resort’s surrounding landscape is of exceptional beauty, presenting visitors with numerous attractions. The staff is commended for their patience and skill in handling guests of varying expertise levels, from seasoned professionals to amateur enthusiasts. The route is generally easy to navigate, provided it is not overly crowded.
The skiing area is particularly suitable for beginners, offering a calm and non-overcrowded environment for learning and honing skills. The resort also provides the convenience of after-work skiing or snowboarding, with manageable crowd levels and well-prepared slopes. The resort is also well-located, being within a short driving distance from Straubing and Regensburg.
Despite its size, Predigtstuhl Arena offers a variety of features including four lifts, making it an ideal choice for everyday skiers. It is also child-friendly, making it a great location for family outings, albeit lacking in challenging slopes for more experienced skiers.
The resort's customer service team has been praised for their friendliness and accommodation. The on-site ski school comes highly recommended, known for the fun and engaging lessons that they offer. The resort's restaurant offerings are also satisfactory, enhancing the overall skiing experience.
However, visitors have noted some areas for improvement, such as the après-ski music and occasional operational issues with the lifts. In addition, the resort's lighting could be better, particularly for night skiing. Despite these shortcomings, the Predigtstuhl Arena remains a popular choice for its reasonable pricing and well-prepared slopes, giving visitors an enjoyable skiing experience.
