 An intriguing feature of the resort is the U(h)rwaldweg trail that ascends from the Elz waterfalls to the Schwedenschanze, and further into the deep forest. This trail is notable for its challenging terrain, requiring sure-footedness, quality hiking footwear, and a degree of fitness from those who wish to undertake it. Despite its difficulty, the trail is incredibly rewarding, offering breathtaking views and an immersive experience of the forest's beauty.
 

 One unique aspect of this ski resort is the U(h)rwaldpfad on Rohrhardsberg, which is part of the Black Forest gourmet trails. This trail, marked by cuckoo clocks on many trees, provides a diverse experience that is both enjoyable for hikers and their pets. The path is filled with narrow routes, waterfalls, mountain farms, and spectacular views. 
 

 The resort also features a beautiful circular hiking trail which spans approximately 9 kilometers, offering great views and picnic areas near the parking lot. During winter, the resort becomes a haven for dog owners who enjoy peaceful winter hikes with their pets. Furthermore, the resort is perfect for hiking in autumn and tobogganing in winter. 
 

 Despite the lack of benches just before the Schwedenschanze inn, the resort's charm and tranquility keep visitors returning year after year. The resort is a place of pure relaxation, making it a favorite among many of its visitors.
