“I've been to Ski Roundtop several times and I have found the staff to be excellent and the check-in process quite straightforward. It does get busy on weekends, but the queues move swiftly. The medical team and ski patrol are very responsive and the instructors are of the highest caliber. However, my main concern is the icy conditions. My 12-year-old daughter unfortunately broke her wrist on Drummer Boy, the beginner slope, which was half icy and half hard pack. This seems to be a regular occurrence due to the alternating warm and freezing temperatures, and perhaps a lack of sufficient snow making. On our visit, another guest requested a refund due to his daughters getting injured within an hour of arrival. I must commend the staff for their courtesy and willingness to refund. However, the beginner's area, particularly the bunny hill, is quite small and can get crowded, making it difficult to navigate. A staff member informed me that the Drummer Boy slope is always the iciest due to its exposure to the sun and trees, which unfortunately increases the risk of injury for new skiers and boarders. Although the weather is beyond anyone's control, the location of the beginner slopes and the timing of snow making can be managed to improve conditions. There was a point when I slid for about 20 feet on pure ice with no means of stopping. If you're an experienced skier, this place could be fine for you but as a beginner or parent, it might be safer to consider other options with more forgiving slopes. If you do choose to ski here, I highly advise taking lessons and wearing wrist protectors.”

“My experience with Roundtop has been quite challenging. I encountered issues with my online order and received an error message prompting me to redo it, which unfortunately led to my order being charged twice. The support system was not very efficient; the help number directed me to Colorado, and they advised me to contact the local staff who then informed me that they couldn't cancel the double order. The website provided for cancellations was also non-responsive which added to the frustration. I was then advised to cancel in person by 5pm, or call a refund number, which ironically led me back to the same staff I had spoken to earlier. This felt like a never-ending loop of miscommunication and inefficiency. It almost seemed like I had to drive two hours to ensure a refund before my trip, which felt inconvenient after spending so much time on the phone. The most exasperating part was that each customer service staff member I interacted with provided the same unhelpful solution. It was like reliving the same scenario repeatedly, much like the movie 'Groundhog Day'. To add to the confusion, even the manager seemed to have trouble accessing the system. Ultimately, I received an email indicating that the issue was corrected, and it appeared that refunds were only processed through emails. Overall, I felt that the entire process was time-consuming and could have been handled more efficiently.”
