Snowy Range

“I recently enrolled my 6-year-old child in a two-hour group lesson at Snowy Range. However, I was disappointed to find that he only managed one descent during this time, with the majority of it spent sitting on the hill without skis. While the staff was polite, they excused the situation by stating their busyness with a large group of young children. This suggested to me a potential issue with either overbooking or understaffing. Upon raising my concerns with two of the front office managers, I was informed that it is customary for children to only make one descent during a two-hour lesson. This was quite surprising to me, and I felt compelled to share this experience with other parents. Aside from this, I must mention that the resort itself is lovely, and the slopes are well-maintained. However, the group lesson did not meet my expectations, and I am left wishing for a refund.”

“I found Snowy Range to be a gorgeous ski area nestled near a national forest. Its smaller selection of runs was a delight, as it was never overly crowded, thus making for a more enjoyable skiing experience. However, the interaction with the lift staff left much to be desired. They came across as quite unfriendly, hardly acknowledging greetings or responding to simple questions. For instance, when I inquired about the time from a staff member at the Sundance lift, his response was rather dismissive, suggesting I check my phone while on the lift. It does make me question the resort's treatment of its employees. Nevertheless, Snowy Range remains a charming, smaller ski resort that's perfect for days filled with good snow.”

“I had a pleasant experience at Snowy Range. It was never too busy and their facilities were quite nice. The location was conveniently accessible from NorCo and neighboring regions. Although the verticality of the slopes might not be the most challenging, the quality of the snow on the east slope in the morning and the north slope in the afternoon was commendable. It's a suitable location to bring beginner or intermediate skiers who might find the long and steep runs at larger Colorado resorts overwhelming. In my opinion, Snowy Range offers one of the best skiing experiences in the region.”
