Swinghill – Solvalla is a charming ski resort located conveniently close to Espoo and the Helsinki area. This resort boasts an impressive infrastructure, with easy accessibility and ample car parking next to the ski shop at the top of the hill. The resort provides a user-friendly experience with minimal queue times for lifts, even during busy periods such as half term breaks.
The resort features button drag lifts on both slopes and offers trick ramps and boxes for those seeking an extra dose of adrenaline. The availability of snow cannons ensures great skiing conditions, regardless of the weather. There are three main slopes, each varying in difficulty, with the longest being 500 meters. The resort also includes a snow park, a kiddie slope, and a sledding area.
A highlight of Swinghill – Solvalla is the cozy café situated halfway down the main run. Offering a selection of homemade soup, bakery items, drinks, and snacks, it serves as an ideal spot for skiers to recharge. However, it is to be noted that the only available toilet is located in the café, which may be inconvenient for beginners who can't ski down to it.
Beyond skiing, the resort offers an enchanting view of the Nuuksio forest, and the sunsets are particularly breathtaking. There is also a small site that is free for beginners to practice. Additionally, the resort caters to a wide range of customers by accepting Endered cards and offering discounted rates for children during ski vacation time.
Despite being compact, Swinghill – Solvalla is widely regarded as one of the best skiing resorts in southern Finland due to its location, amenities, and friendly staff. The resort's atmosphere, coupled with the beautiful winter scenery, makes it an unmissable spot for both skiing enthusiasts and those simply wanting to enjoy a tranquil winter setting.
