Ulovka – Jamnik, once a bustling ski resort, now stands as a serene reminder of its former glory, nestled amidst the magnificent Slovenian mountainscape. The resort exhibits an undeniable rustic charm, drawing visitors to its tranquil atmosphere and stunning natural beauty. It is fondly remembered for its ski slope and sports park, which, though currently in decline, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of its patrons.
 

 The top of Ulovka provides an awe-inspiring panoramic view, with visitors often praising the breathtaking scenery. Despite being a former ski resort, the mountain's allure remains undiminished. It's not uncommon for travellers to spend a delightful Sunday journeying to Ulovka’s peak, soaking in the enchanting vistas it offers.
 

 Located 650 meters above sea level is the quaint village of Zaplana, Ulovka, a notable stop along the European footpath. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in local culture and experience the simplicity and charm of mountain village life. 
 

 Though the resort's ski facilities no longer operate, the location is still ideal for outdoor activities. Long walks amidst pristine nature, mountain climbing, and hiking are popular pastimes here. However, visitors should exercise caution as the terrain can sometimes be slippery.
 

 Ulovka – Jamnik’s past as a ski resort is remembered fondly, and there is hope that the municipality of Vrhnika will restore it to its former glory. Despite its current state of decline, the resort's natural beauty and tranquillity still make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking serenity and scenic splendour.
