POSITION SUMMARY Calling all Transportation Extraordinaires! If you have your CDL with passenger endorsement (or are willing to obtain) and excel at teaching others, this is the position for you! This position will qualify for a $1000 bonus paid in two parts, $500 as a sign bonus and $500 upon completion of the season in good standing. Resume required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Responsible for adherence to DOT regulations related to 25 & 33 passenger vansResponsible for supervision of fleet of 33 & 25 passenger vans and other vehicles used for guest transportation from parking lots to base areaStaff supervision including hiring, discipline and terminationResponsible for safety training of staffResponsible for guest service within the transportation programResponsible for interaction with vehicle maintenanceSupervise snow removal and ice build-up prevention around in and around parking lotsOversee litter control in the vans and parking areasProblem-solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workersBe a consistent role model for the company's Service Excellence StandardsOther duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of previous work history/education requiredPrevious supervisory experience requiredSubmit to physical exam and urinalysis per DOT regulationsMaintain a professional well-groomed appearanceMust have good interpersonal skills and enjoy peopleProvide positive, constructive leadership and direction of the parking and shuttle staff.Communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a positive, guest friendly mannerReport to work timely at 6:00 AM, dressed and prepared for your daily assignment.Expected to operate company vehicles including shuttle buses, 4-wheelers, rangers, and pickup trucks in varying weather conditionsExpected to work complete shift outdoors, often in extreme weather conditionsMust remain standing for extended periods of time in one outdoor location often in extreme weather conditionsEnsure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirementsMust have valid driver's license without limitations or restrictions and meet company's insurability standards (will be required to complete Motor Vehicle Record) EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Must have High school diploma or GED equivalentMust be able to acquire a Colorado CDL licenseMust meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current driver's license; a successful motor vehicle record background check is requiredMust be able to speak, read, and write legibly the English language The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
