Sunny Valley Resort

“My experience at Sunny Valley Resort was generally satisfactory, but a few minor inconveniences detracted from the overall experience. The absence of trash bins along the walking paths and the lack of ramps were noticeable issues. Navigating the resort could be difficult, especially during nighttime due to the poor signage leading to the reception and the chalets. The directional signs to the rooms were not clear, requiring a complete exploration of the house, even up to the second floor. The nearest store offered great products, the doshirak and Princess Nuri tea were splendid. Unfortunately, I encountered some misinformation from the reception. Despite being told there wouldn't be any robes or towels at the thermal baths, they were actually available. It was also challenging to reach the reception via phone. There was noticeable dust in the room, which was particularly problematic for our asthmatic friend. Despite these issues, I'm rating the rooms and service a 4, and the location a 5 due to its tranquility. This was a vacation trip with friends.”

“I was quite taken aback by the service at Sunny Valley Resort. Despite booking an apartment for two days, we didn't end up staying overnight. We were promised a refund application via email, but it never arrived. Upon our arrival, we were informed our room was ready but required an additional fee for early check-in. This was a first for me, as I had never encountered a check-in time later than 15:00, whereas here it was at 18:00. Moreover, there was no offer of a courtesy cafe while waiting. Instead, we were suggested to go for a walk. Adding to the oddity, there was also a room deposit requirement, something I've rarely seen elsewhere. We were asked to provide document copies for everyone in the party, including minors, which was peculiar. Despite insisting, we were only given one key initially, and had to return later when the second one didn't work. Locating our room was challenging because there were no signs or numbers on the buildings. It was a matter of entering each door and hoping it was ours. Our evening meal plans were thwarted, despite visiting all local restaurants and cafes. One place was under construction yet claimed to be operating. Another had lights on and an administrator present, but wasn't serving food. The restaurants within Sunny Valley were all booked. Our only option was to wait outside for our order, which would take an hour and a half due to the crowd. Ultimately, we left the resort hungry and disappointed. The atmosphere wasn't family-friendly as well. A large number of intoxicated individuals around, and there was loud music playing until midnight. Considering the level of service and overall experience, I would prefer to invest an additional 3 hours to travel to Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi. While Sunny Valley Resort has its own affluent clientele, I believe it needs to pay more attention to service quality. After all, their offerings are not unique, and guests would appreciate more respect. The trip was a family vacation and the resort is touted as being kid-friendly, however, the experience was rather underwhelming.”

“I truly enjoyed my stay at Sunny Valley Resort. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, making the stay convenient. Dining at the on-site restaurant was a delightful experience, with delicious food served. The resort's location amidst beautiful nature was a treat. However, I did face a few challenges. The resort could significantly improve its navigation and signage as it was quite difficult to locate the hotel and my chalet. The numbering system also lacked clarity, making navigation a bit tricky. One thing I missed was the availability of shops within the resort premises. Also, upon arrival, I noticed that the veranda was covered with a layer of pollen on everything from the table to the chairs and the floor - an indication that cleaning hadn't been done prior to my arrival. Additionally, my stay coincided with an enduro festival. The motorcycles racing around the resort territory disturbed the peace and quiet I was expecting. Overall, while the resort has many strengths, there are certain areas that would benefit from improvement to provide a more comfortable stay.”

“During my visit to the Ilmen festival at Sunny Valley Resort, I experienced some issues with the parking arrangement. Unfortunately, the parking was in an unorganized field without a traffic controller. I was left puzzled about where the parking fees were being utilized. To add to my disappointment, the parking area was not maintained well, with trash present. The overall organization was lacking, which was disheartening. I genuinely hope the administration takes note and makes necessary improvements.”
