Kasprowy Wierch – Zakopane

“My visit to Kasprowy Wierch can be best described as a mixed experience. On the positive side, the views at the top were truly breathtaking, a real spectacle of nature's beauty. However, the system in place for skiing left a lot to be desired. The day ski pass only allowed access to two slopes and a return trip to the top, which I found quite restrictive. The access between the two slopes was inconvenient in that when you go down the second slope, the lift only takes you back to the start of the second slope. To access the first slope, a hike up the mountain is required, which is not ideal. At the top, the amenities were limited to a kiosk, a souvenir shop, and a restaurant with a restricted food selection. Accessing a wider variety of food required a trip down to the base station, but this could mean being unable to return up due to the restrictive system in place. Confusion arose when my pass stopped working after two trips. Despite asking a guard for assistance, the language barrier became an issue, with the guard only able to communicate in Polish. When I approached the customer service team, they confirmed that the pass did not permit unlimited trips up and down, which was surprising for me as a day ski pass holder. Regarding the slopes, I found the grading to be misleading. While the first slope starts steeply, it quickly becomes similar to a red slope. The second slope is a red slope throughout. They were, however, quite wide and the snow conditions were good. Overall, the signage and trail maps were lacking, leading to confusion. The system needs to be more user-friendly, and improvements could be made by connecting the first and second slopes with a lift. Despite the beautiful views, the skiing experience left room for improvements.”

“I absolutely loved the breathtaking views from Kasprowy Wierch – Zakopane. The vehicle used for the trip was also very nice. However, I did encounter some issues with other guests who unfortunately had a lack of manners, cutting in front of me as if I wasn't even there. Despite this minor setback, the stunning vistas made every moment worthwhile, even when dealing with some less than considerate patrons.”
