Parâng Overview

Statiunea Parâng, situated in the picturesque landscape of Romania, is a stunning mountain resort renowned for its breathtaking views and year-round outdoor adventures. Whether you're a thrill-seeker or a nature lover, this resort nestled in the beauty of the Carpathian Mountains guarantees an unforgettable experience. It boasts scenic hiking trails, exhilarating skiing slopes, and snug accommodations, making it an ideal destination during both summer and winter.

Over the years, the resort has undergone significant changes, enhancing its appeal to visitors. It is commended for its balance of untamed, wild nature and excellent facilities, making it one of the finest resorts within a 1000km radius. The resort is never excessively crowded, except during winter holidays, and is home to the popular DropnRoll downhill challenge. With friendly locals, amazing spots, and a range of activities to engage in, it serves as the perfect relaxation spot.

The slopes are wild and provide an excellent platform for both off-track and slope activities. Despite being a bit challenging for beginners, this ensures the ski resort maintains a pleasant crowd level. The resort offers great dining and accommodation options, adding to its charm. However, the absence of a skipass system and the need to carry skis while riding the chairlift are some areas that could be improved.

The beauty of Parang mountains is undeniable, making it worth a visit. Although there aren't many activities apart from self-guided hiking, the landscape view from the Parangu mic peak (2053 m) is awe-inspiring. The resort is quieter and less modernised than some, making it perfect for those seeking a peaceful, easy-going skiing experience. The ski paths are not overly difficult, appealing to beginners and those who prefer a less intense skiing experience.

The resort is not as crowded during the summer but offers beautiful mountain views and warm, welcoming locals. It provides some skiing opportunities in winter, although some of these are outdated. The resort continues to develop, with great care taken during the winter ski season. Despite a few cons such as unused slopes and slow ski lifts, the resort's amazing scenery, long slopes, and great views are its major attractions.
