I worry that these adverse comments will continue to accumulate, potentially impacting the establishment's reputation in the long run.”

“Before you make any bookings for Selwyn Snowfields, it's advised to assess the condition of the snow in person upon your arrival. Doing so could save you from disappointments and disagreements with the management that may lack a sense of understanding and empathy. My candid review comes after realizing that the management doesn't seem to value their customers' feedback. Their response to my concerns felt insincere and hollow. I booked online based on their enticing descriptions and images, but the experience I got was far from what was promised. The toboggan, for instance, was not as described. Contrary to the "150 metre snow carpet for effortless laps of fun," it required effort to walk back up the hill. This, coupled with the deteriorating snow conditions, left most of us disgruntled. I could overhear other customers expressing their dissatisfaction to the staff. Before you buy lift or toboggan tickets, ensure the snow cover is in good condition and not just patches of dirt, mud, or slush. Also, verify how many ski lifts are operational and the state of the Toboggan slope. The management might not be understanding if you've pre-booked your tickets online and the conditions are not as expected. Selwyn Snowfields can be a good place for beginners when the snow conditions are favorable. However, when the snow is insufficient, the management's handling of the situation leaves much to be desired. When the product offered doesn't match the description, it's only fair that a refund or credit is issued. The toboggan slope was in a poor and unsafe condition, with large holes throughout. It was moved to a new area, but the slope was flat and shorter, hence not as enjoyable. And even with these shortcomings, the management saw it fit to charge the full price. In the future, I'll opt for Perisher, where tobogganing is free and the slope is more enjoyable. I urge everyone who has had a similar experience at Selwyn Snowfields to share their reviews. While we understand that the weather is beyond their control, it's not a justification for them to take advantage of us. Let's communicate our concerns to them, so they can improve their services in the future.”

“I had a less than ideal experience at Selwyn Snowfields. The snow conditions were disappointing and I found their website to be misleading regarding which lifts were operational. The only open options were the chair and magic carpet, both of which felt unsafe due to the lack of snow. It was quite concerning to observe people struggling and even getting injured while trying to get on or off the chair. Furthermore, when I requested to reschedule my lift tickets to a later date, my request was denied. It seemed like the snowfields were open only to accommodate those who had already pre-purchased their tickets.”

“My first snowboarding experience at Selwyn Snowfields was remarkable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially in the ticket and lift area. I was impressed with the aesthetics of the new facility, specifically the well-chosen bathroom tile scheme. The location of the snowfields is convenient and easy to reach. I had an excellent weekend there and I am already planning to return next year.”
