Thredbo Ski Resort, renowned for its winter and summer attractions, offers a dynamic environment for both adults and children. The resort is commended for its snow-filled atmosphere, friendly personnel, and meticulous preparations for family experiences. The resort offers spectacular views from its rooms and is conveniently located for a range of activities. Despite the occasional dependency on artificial snow, the presence of natural snow significantly enhances the overall experience. Thredbo features the highest lifted point of Australia as well as the longest runs in Australia and the only alpine coaster in the country.
Many visitors find the trek to the summit exhilarating, despite its demanding nature, with the reward of breathtaking views from the summit and along the trail. Just before the summit you can dine at the highest restaurant in Australia. Thredbo’s steep and long runs contribute to its reputation as an ideal resort for expert skiers. The resort's runs are less crowded compared to other resorts, making it a preferred choice for many.
The resort's staff play a crucial role in shaping the visitor experience, with many guests appreciating their welcoming and helpful demeanor. However, some guests have noted areas for improvement, particularly in terms of policy flexibility and customer service.
Thredbo also offers an excellent ski school for kids. Furthermore, the resort's policy against tobogganing has been met with criticism, with calls for a dedicated tobogganing area for younger children. Thee village is pucturesque where you can find restaurants, bars and cafes as well as supermarket and post office.
In summary, Thredbo Ski Resort offers a great location, comfortable rooms, and commendable services. However, it is evident that improvements in customer service, policy flexibility, and the provision of diverse activities for all ages could elevate the overall experience at the resort.
